Nature of Site:

The philosophy, structure, design and engineering of this site are highly experimental in nature, using very new and unorthodox concepts, approaches and/or techniques. Some of these are documented and discussed in various sections of this site. However, some of them remain yet to be fully documented for inclusion in the future.

Structure:

At this point, this site uses three-deep directory structure:
» SECTION
     » TOPIC
          » STUDY/ARTICLE
Furthermore, any Study or Article may have multiple parts.

Auxiliary Panel:

This panel is an experimental concept, using an iframe to display the information associated with the Auxiliary Menu above, as well as displaying other supplemental information pertaining to the contents of the page. Main purpose of this is to minimize - if not eliminate, the dependence on PopUp Windows.

When and if applicable, some of the pages displayed may be automatically refreshed (re-directed) to reset the Auxiliary Panel to display its default page, after a certain period of time. Conversely, some of the pages, instead of automatic re-directing, is equipped with a RESET AUXILIARY PANEL button for resetting it to its default page.

The contents of this panel will not be printed, when the print option of the Browser is used. However, a PRINT THIS PANEL button is provided at the bottom of the page (when and if applicable) to print the contents of the displayed panel. (Uses JavaScript)

Navigation:

The Nested Menu on the left menu provides access to any page of this site. This menu has been designed by using CSS hover function only. However, javascript is used conditionally to make the menu functional in IE 6.

In addition, a you-are-here band at the top of each page shows where you are in the directory hierarchy. In the cases of multi-part studies/articles, BACK and FORWARD buttons allows simple navigation within that study/article.

The CONTENTS icon on the Auxiliary Menu will display the contents of the Section or Topic on the Auxiliary Panel (a zoom-in version of a SITE MAP).

Music:

The pages of these site also offers optional music on the left panel. However, this option is totally passive; you will have to activate it to listen to the music selection. Furthermore, you can stop playing the music at any time.

Final Note:

This Help page can be accessed from any page on this site, via the HELP icon on the Auxiliary Menu.
